TRAVELING AROUND SPANISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES

I believe it is very important to include cultural aspects in our language lessons. Learning a language is not just about being able to communicate using it well, but also about learning about the culture where that language comes from.

As you probably already know, there are 21 countries in which Spanish is the official language and each of them is unique and special. It is very important to enrich our lessons by sharing customs, traditions, festivals, gastronomy, interesting places to visit and learn about famous and inspiring people from those countries.

In this section of BILINGUAL CEREBROS’ channel, we explore the 21 Spanish-speaking countries. So far, I have created 13 different cultural videos that include activities and project ideas in Spanish lessons. You can use these free resources in your lessons. They can be used in groups or 1-1 classes, both in online classes and in-person classes.

I have used them in my lessons and my students have also used them afterwards as inspiration for their own presentations. These are the 13 different countries I have covered so far:

– Spain 🇪🇸

– Peru 🇵🇪

– Mexico 🇲🇽

– Argentina 🇦🇷

– Cuba 🇨🇺

– Colombia 🇨🇴

– Chile 🇨🇱

– Venezuela 🇻🇪

– Uruguay 🇺🇾

– Paraguay 🇵🇾

– Ecuador 🇪🇨

– Costa Rica 🇨🇷

– Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

Stay tuned and visit BILINGÜE CEREBROS’ YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@bilingualcerebros) where you can find the 13 existing video resources and I will soon publish the remaining 8. Check the Playlists: TRAVELING THROUGH SPANISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES.

Below is one of the most recent videos in this section about Puerto Rico. I hope you find these resources helpful! I have a some requests for the next country in this section and I will decide which one I upload next depending on the requests.

Oh, and as I have previously mentioned in other posts, if you’re using the Translation feature to read this text in Spanish, remember that it’s done with the translator tool, so bear in mind that I wrote the original blog in English and that the ‘Plugin’ does the translation automatically for the website, so you may notice small mistakes in the grammar or punctuation… It’s not me! It’s the ‘Plugin’!

That’s all for now! If you have any question or suggestions, Iet me know below. I read you!
