We started with Maria in September 2024 to tutor our (then 12 year old) daughter who is studying Spanish language at grammar school. Prior to this she was just learning on the Duolingo app. We are so happy to have found Maria. She has taken our daughter from near beginner level to consistently attaining the highest grades across her year group. She is excelling not only in vocabulary, grammatical structure and pronunciation, but also fluency and confidence in speaking to native Spanish speakers (as we found out when we took her to Barcelona last summer). Our daughter absolutely loves classes with Maria and treats them as a highlight of her week rather than a learning chore. We have since also started classes with our younger daughter (9 years old) so she is ahead in terms of curriculum and confidence for when she starts secondary school in a couple of years. She also loves her classes with Maria and I can see how she is progressing. Maria has a natural ability in teaching children and her lessons are always well structured and visually suitable for online classes. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Maria as a Spanish tutor. My only regret is not having time for myself to take classes also ️
Estas clases me han ayudado mucho a mejorar mi español como idioma y en A levels. Me han beneficiado en saber responder las preguntas del examen con más eficacia. Las clases son muy estructuradas, cubriendo muchas cosas en solo una hora, y al mismo tiempo la profesora va a tu ritmo de aprendizaje; no te sientes apresurado. Lo que más me encanta es que la profesora se da cuenta de cualquier duda que tengas o cualquier error que cometas; inmediatamente te corrige y te apunta todo para que puedas reflexionar y estudiar tus dudas y errores después de la clase; así ganas tiempo sin hacer tus propios apuntes y te centras más en aprender.

Hola. I had my first lessons with Maria back in Autumn 2020. Although it has only been 30 minutes lessons each week, I have improved my Spanish significantly. Maria really knows her way of teaching, explaining and letting you improve. She thinks very practically and uses the materials of her website, which she also created herself. It is always very enjoyable to meet her, and she motivates me to keep learning and practicing. I would definitely recommend her to any student. Additionally, I also watch her videos on Youtube, where you can learn a lot even for free. Best recommendations. Go for it, she is a fantastic teacher ♥️ ♥️
Después de buscar y probar bastantes maestros que le dieran clases en español a mi hijo online, al final encontramos la mejor calificada por nosotros. María es una súper maestra, que ha mejorado y ayudado a que mi hijo progrese en el español. Cómo Padre, hemos visto la mejoría en la pronunciación, en la gramática, en el buen uso de las palabras, sobre todo los tiempos que para el era algo complicado. El niño está encantado con ella. Un punto importante es la diversidad de actividades y recursos que ella usa ya que hace las clases muy dinámicas y entretenidas. Lo más importante a resaltar es el profesionalismo, dedicación e interés que ella tiene para que mi hijo progrese cada día más. Somos una familia multilingüe. Mi hijo hablaba español a nivel muy básico antes de empezar las clases con María. Gracias a ella, ha adquirido una gran base gramatical y vocabulario avanzado. Para mi, lo más importante de las clases de María es que el niño se motiva durante la clase y se divierte. María es muy creativa. When I started learning Spanish with Maria I didn’t even know the basics, but after just a few weeks I was able to have basic conversations.
