Welcome to BILINGUAL CEREBROS

Hello! My name is María Martínez and I am a Spanish and English qualified teacher with over 24 years of teaching experience, almost 20 of them in the UK and for the last 4 years in Germany. I am also a former Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Leader and a primary school teacher. One of my professional achievements was the nomination for the ‘MFL Teacher of the Year Award’ in England where I was shortlisted as one of the 4 national finalists in 2009, receiving a certificate for it in a ceremony in the Houses of Parliament in London. I also led two schools as MFL Leader to achieve the International Schools Award by the British Council in 2010 and a second time in 2019, receiving also the certificates for these in two ceremonies in the Houses of Parliament.Currently, I teach online (Spanish as a foreign language and heritage language & English for Spanish speakers) and at a high school in Germany.
